The Short Story…

Mrs. Summer D Clemenson was born in Renton, Washington. Her parents brought her to Longview, Washington when she was 2 and this is where her heart is. She has left a few times but she always enjoys coming home.

Summer has served on The Salvation Army Board of Directors and was a manager at Love Overwhelming when it first began.

What she is really good at is making sure Karen looks good… 🙂

In May of 2014 Summer and Karen were married and life has never been better…or the same for that matter…

The Full Story...

Summer D Clemenson started writing when she was 9-years-old; mainly poems & short stories. She has always enjoyed writing more than speaking because it seemed easier to get her point across with the written word. In high school she was part of the journalism team & in college she enjoyed creative writing classes. In 2013, Summer’s best friend, Jamie Holloway, talked her into starting her own blog. Jamie had seen that Summer wasn’t satisfied with just writing articles for her businesses.

Summer & Karen, met in 2003, while working at a local answering service & were fast friends. In 2010 they decided to start their first business together. Exclaim Media, LLC was Karen’s dream of having a video company. At the same time, they tried to follow Summer’s dream of helping people by establishing Living Ministries. At the end of 2013, Summer became seriously ill & was hospitalized. During her stay at the hospital & afterward, Karen never left Summer’s side. As their friendship grew, Summer & Karen were married in 2014. In 2015, they dissolved Exclaim Media & began building Clemenson Enterprises, LLC. Living Ministries is on the back burner for now, but out of Clemenson Enterprises, Wellness Works NW was born.

In 2017, Jamie joined Summer & Karen in a partnership. Together they work to educate & encourage people on their path toward wellness as Wellness Works NW. Karen is the CEO. She is a personal trainer, salesperson & wellness coach. Summer is Creative Director. She produces videos, maintains the website, creates print marketing & is editor for all the authors in the Wellness Works NW Team. When she has time she writes articles for Fueling Your Wellness. Jamie is the Research Manager. She is the main writer/researcher for WWNW & she helps keep Karen & Summer focused. They are a formidable team.

Summer has had to learn to slow down since 2014. She lives with several chronic illnesses, both mental and physical including: Generalized Anxiety Disorder, PTSD, OCD, Fibromyalgia, Psoriatic Arthritis and Lymphedema.

In December 2025 Summer beat her 3 year battle with Endometrial Cancer!

Summer doesn’t just work and write…she also enjoys crocheting, cooking and trying new things. She and Karen live in Longview, WA.
