Basil has an herbaceous, spicy, anise-like camphorous scent that is very lively.

Common Application Methods

Topically: Can be applied neat (with no dilution) when used topically. Apply directly to areas of concern or to reflex points. For sensitive skin or use on children always use with Fractionated Coconut Oil or other carrier oil.

  • Apply to temples or behind ears to address minor headache or earache.
  • Apply to reflex points or to areas of concern.

Aromatically: Diffuse in diffuser of your choice or inhale the aroma directly.

Internally: Place 1-2 drops under the tongue or in a capsule. Follow with at least 4 oz of water. Dip a toothpick into oil and stir into foods to add flavor.

Blends well with Bergamot, Cypress, White Fir, Geranium, Helichrysum, Lavender, Lemongrass, Marjoram, Peppermint and Wintergreen Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils.

Safety: Avoid use during pregnancy. Not for use with people with epilepsy. Repeated use may result in contact skin sensitivity. Always avoid contact with eyes, genitals and other sensitive skin areas with any grade essential oils.
