We Are Hope

Every day you wake up
to things you didn’t think
would ever happen
It’s hard to hope
When some people believe
they count more than you do
and that some people don’t count at all

There are people who celebrate
covetousness
and prejudice
and foolishness
pretending to be might

~

But we are called to be change
if we are known
and we know our true greatness
If we know our Creator’s voice
we have purpose
To find peace in honesty
To be messengers to those who have forgotten dignity
because we are hope
