Dear Longview City Council,
I am writing regarding legal fees of $80,000 that I hear that The City of Longview has agree to pay after 2.5 years of court battles from Spencer Boudreau, Kalei LaFave, Erik Halvorson, and Keith Young have been sued by Mike Wallin, and Democratic activists John Melink and Thomas Samuels. From the article I have read more than once, I believe that this fight is about political posturing which I think is a waste of time. People who are too far right or too far left can’t hear anything and will fail every time. No matter what this fight is really about or how it turned out, we all know that The City of Longview, is really the taxpayers. And I for one have no interest in paying for anyone’s pissing contest.
$80,000 can go to many more important programs in our city and I do not support it going to lawyers who don’t care about us. I know when we voted any of these people in, we did not foresee a childish disruption such as this. I would like to encourage you to go after the parties named above to regain the $80,000 so that it can be used for our city and not to protect the whims and egos of humans that are having a hard time losing an election.
