Exclaim my favorite thingsToday is a beautiful day!

The sun is out. There are enough clouds in the sky that there is a wonderful baby blue glow around the buildings and I am enjoying the sound of people chatting and the glorious sound of coffee being made as I sit at a table in the middle of The Electric Bean; a fellow sponsor of Christmas Joy Telethon.

Karen says her favorite thing about The EB is that it is a perfect place to plug in. Whether you are taking a break from the office, you’re out and about enjoying Kelso-Longview or you came to a great concert, this place delivers the unique essence of our local people. And it is a great place for a meeting!

We have reached the point of November that I am overwhelmed by the nearness of Thanksgiving Day…and then I realized that I was so busy with finishing up Survival Drive 2013 and getting ready for Knotty Wares‘ expose’ at the Downtown Christmas Bazaar that I forgot to deliver your webstats to you…and then I had to catch a cold that has only allowed me to sit up straight for longer than an hour since yesterday…tis the season!

Yep! As we meander into the bustle and JOY of the holidays, we begin to have thoughts of the perfect gifts for our loved ones…I chuckle because when people ask me what I want for Christmas, I think of my favorite things: Playing with yarn, Building relationships while we fill needs, and BUILDING WEBSITES. Yes, I said I like to build websites! I like it so much that sometimes I forget everything else. Sometimes Karen walks into the room, only to walk right out again because I had that look on my face…like the only thing in the world was me and this website.

Websites are never done!

Websites can grow as fast or as slow as you want. Whether you add video, blog posts or even become inspired for a complete overhaul. When you don’t know what direction you should take, I suggest bribing me with coffee and picking my brain. Most of the time I drag Karen along for moral support AND because she sometimes has the best ideas ever. Let’s work together to come up with a plan that works for you. A plan is the best way to keep your audience motivated, interested and engaged, whether that plan includes making sure you write one new article a month or helping you answer the question:

What should I write about?

Before your eyes glaze over…I know that most people are not nearly as excited about building websites as I am…Let’s swing this back to our original topic.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I am so thankful for my salvation! Without Jesus, I am like the Grinch’s evil step-sister. I am thankful for my family and friends who have always loved me and brought a richness and texture to my world I could have never imagined on my own. I am also thankful that I have always had a roof over my head, clothes to wear and food to eat for me and my cat. Every day I remember that some of my friends can’t say that.
